Ascending with Jumar and abseiling<\/b><\/p>\n

Before participants are allowed to do the full run of Jumar-ing and abseiling. Knots lessons as well as a dry run must be conducted.
\nEquipments required: Harness, 2 slings, 4 HMS Carabiners, 2 Prusiks (1 long, 1 short), Ascender and belay device.<\/em><\/p>\n

Ascending<\/strong><\/p>\n\n


\n<\/strong><\/i>Key Points:
\n– Sling must have offset.
\n– Loop from the top carabiner must not be loaded.
\n– Leg loop is tied with kleimheist<\/strong><\/em>, and attached to sling above the loop.
\n– Important to ascend with enough carabiners, belay device and short prussi<\/em>k.
\n– When crossing anchors, use the sling on the leg loop<\/strong> to anchor on.
\n– Once anchored, then can you swap your ascender on to the next rope.<\/p>\n

Abseiling<\/p>\n

\n– Autobloc<\/strong> <\/em>is tied correctly.
\n– It is clipped to leg loop.
\n– Ensure it bites on to rope, check before removing safety sling.<\/p>\n
